Unique Interventional Radiology remains open to provide its services to our patients and the community.  The health and safety of our patients and employees is of the utmost importance therefore using standards outlined by CDC and other agencies we will prescreen all patients to ensure we continue to provide the same level of quality and the best level of care to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Here are some of the measures we are taking to protect our patients and staff.

Prescreening

Every patient we see is carefully prescreened for COVID-19.

This is done before scheduling any appointments and during the visit.

Some of the prescreening questions are:

  • Do you currently have a fever or have you had a fever within the last 72 hours over 99 degrees?
  • Do you have a cough or have you been experiencing shortness of breath that started less than a month ago?
  • Have you had contact with any person who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or someone who has been quarantined due to COVID-19.
  • Have you traveled outside the United States within the last 3 weeks?
  • Within the last 3 weeks, have you visited any States inside the US that are considered a HotSpot such as New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and/or Louisiana?
  • Have you been on a cruise in the past 14 days?

We will not be able to see patients that have the following conditions:

  • A fever or shortness of breath or cough (shortness of breath or cough that started less than one month ago) or
  • Have traveled overseas or visited New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Louisiana or on a cruise within the past 14 days or
  • Have been in contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 or someone who has been put in quarantine due to having come in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
  • If a person cannot be seen by us for any of the reasons stated above, please contact your referring physician for further instructions.
  • If a person suffers from a chronic cough or shortness of breath that is due to asthma, emphysema, or a chronic condition such as COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), they will be required to wear a mask during their visit.
